Project 3: Informative PowerPoint (50 points)

Preparing for the Microsoft Certification Exam for PowerPoint

Research what techniques are included on the Microsoft PowerPoint certification exam by going to this site: Microsoft Office Specialist: PowerPoint Associate (PowerPoint and PowerPoint 2019) – Skills Measured. Create a presentation telling other students what these techniques are and how to best prepare for this exam.

Include the following techniques:

· Modify the slide master

· Include a header/footer on slides and handouts

· Modify presentation properties

· Insert and format slides: add slide layouts, duplicate a slide, hide slides, modify slide backgrounds, apply styles to slides

· Insert shapes and modify shapes, apply borders to shapes, resize shapes, apply styles to shapes, order and group shapes, align shapes

· Insert section headers

· Insert and edit Word Art

· Insert hyperlinks

· Insert a table, modify the number of rows/columns, merge cells, apply table styles

· Import data from an outside source

· Insert a chart, modify design and style, add data labels

· Insert a SmartArt, change the color, add extra text (shape) to the SmartArt, animate the SmartArt to appear one by one and in order

· Insert images, crop, apply effects and styles

· Insert media (video, audio), trim timing, set start/stop times, set to play automatically

· Apply transitions between slides using more than one transition, modify effect options

· Animate slide content (entrance, emphasis, exit and motion path) and change effect options, timings and start options

· Add timings and set to run automatically

· Compress media, embed fonts, restrict permissions, remove presentation meta data, check for accessibility issues and check for compatibility issues

On the last slide, include a list of techniques that may be on the certification exam that you do NOT know how to perform.

· Research how to do these techniques, then write HOW to do these techniques in the Speaker Notes area.

Save your presentation in Project 3. Submit this presentation to the assignment folder on D2L.
