DNP 7200 Statistics for the Health and Biological Sciences

Purpose

The purpose of the assignment is to allow you to further explore the practice problem that you have chosen for potential use in your final DNP by exploring the statistical component of your practice problem. You will also build an annotated bibliography and grade your evidences by building a Graded table of evidences.

Each student will:

1. Use your previously conducted focused review of literature related to the identified clinical problem from the course DNP7100 Evaluation of Evidence for Practice.

2. Describe the problem, the significance of the problem using professional references.

3. Describe the statistical relevancy of your problem (how many people affected, the cost, percentages, etc.)

4. State the practice question in PICOT format. (You can use the revised one from the previous course DNP7100).

5. Clearly and succinctly synthesize the literature related to the identified clinical problem in an annotated bibliography format (see example). Provide a summary of 5 scholarly references in the annotated bibliography including at least one peer-reviewed, and one scholarly reference from at least 3 different levels of evidence regarding the proposed approaches to the identified clinical problem.
